1^st location - Top of Winnats Pass (53:20N,1:49W). Sunset at 17:00UTC Venus easily visible - Mercury visible through viewfinder of Olympus C-700 at 17:38. (Not visible naked eye). Image several times until 17:56UTC when Mercury disappeared behind cloud.
Moved to Axe Edge (53:13N,1:59W) Mercury clearly visible just above horizon + large bank of cloud. Imaged again 20 seconds f3.5 400ASA (noisy) at 18:23. Disappeared behind cloud at 18:27
