Staffs Mechanics Bike Show 2003

Here are some snaps from the 2003 Staffs Mechanics Bike Show sponsored by Classic & Motorcycle Mechanics . By now, you should have recognised my preference for "Steet Specials".

Martin Newlyn's very nice Yamaha RD400.

Paul Pursey's Moto Martin CBX. Beautifully finished. I've always liked the CBX, despite its reputation for being a tad fragile. But isn't this just gorgeous. This bike is turbo-charged - producing around 200bhp.

Allen Millyards Bikes

Two shots of the superb V12 Z2300.

Although the quality of construction masks this, you can see how long that wheelbase really is here

A couple of shots of the 4 cylinder Kawasaki 1000, I think that this was produced from a pair of H2 triple engines.

Sadly, the photos do not do this justice. I hadn't seen this bike before. It was featured with (I think) all the specials that he had made.

Dale Rushtons LC350 that was featured in Classic & Motorcycle Mechanics, October 2003. Beautifully finished! The attention to detail (like all the bikes shown here) has to be seen to be believed

Finally, in the car park, this mint Benelli 750 Sei. One of the real joys of this show is that the car (sorry bike) park can provide as much pleasure as the main show.
